Approximately 20 miles northeast of Charlottesville, Gordonsville is a growing town rich in American history. Set between the birthplace of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, the town was the center of trade in Orange County.
The Gordonsville Volunteer Fire Department is a community-based Fire, Rescue, and EMS department that protects and serves a main street community of residences, businesses, and seasonal events.
The fire department has over 100 years of dedication to the town and is always seeking new members who have a desire to help their neighbors in their time of need. Open positions include:
- Interior Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician
- EMS
- Cadet Program
- Administrative Staff and Support Staff, who help with the business of the fire department
Our volunteer first responders enjoy a sense of accomplishment, achievement, and have pride in the work they do. If you decide to join us you will receive free certification training and learn new skills, make new friends, be a part of a team, give back to the community, and make a real difference.
