More than just a local fire department, the Mine Run Volunteer Fire Company thinks of itself as a family with a responsibility to serve their neighbors and keep their community safe. Starting in 1946, the fire company is in the Locust Grove area amid a mix of agriculture, historic sites, and growing residential and commercial development.
Members of the Mine Run Volunteer Fire Company are actively involved in providing firefighting, rescue, and basic emergency medical services as well as service calls, public education events, and delivering community risk reduction information.
As the Locust Grove area grows, so do the calls for assistance to the fire company. Mine Run is actively recruiting members who have a desire to fund their place and serve others.

The Mine Run Volunteer Fire Company is not just a Fire Department, we are a family who together keeps our community safe and answers the call for help. As a family, we are there for each other, our immediate families, friends, and neighbors.
